Finding the perfect moisturiser has been quite a quest for me and I think (more on why I think) I’ve found it. Clarins Extra Firming Day Cream does everything for me; it’s very rich without breaking me out and it leaves my skin so incredibly smooth and soft which no other moisturiser has had the ability to do.
The funny thing about this moisturiser is that it’s not the type of cream I’d usually look for. It’s an anti-ageing cream which I never use as I like to think I’ll stay young forever (I wish, but I’m definitely not of an age where I’d start using them). The average age of the woman who’d use this moisturiser is 40 as they recommend and I’m absolutely no where near that age so why does this work so well for me?
It works for me because it’s really nourishing. With my combination skin, it gives my skin that much needed moisture in parts where I’d usually have dry skin. Because it’s very moisturising, I thought it’d be too much on the rest of my skin which happens to be oily and to my surprise, my skin’s fine.
As much as I love this moisturiser, I’m a little annoyed at how expensive it is. It’s of such a high quality and I’ve noticed that due to how rich it is and how great it’s left my skin however at £46 it’s quite expensive even for me considering how much I spend on my beauty products. Also, I’ve not noticed a difference in terms of firming, my skin has not become firmer with this but I still love it!
