I’ve finally run out of my sample and am ready for a review! I managed to stretch its use for two weeks, so I’ve been using it fairly often. As a day cream, it’s definitely richer than your average moisturizer. It’s creamy and feels good on your skin. Smells fantastic as well – a very light, yet calming scent. Spreads evenly and absorbs very quickly – a huge plus for me! A little goes along way with this, so the bottle will last you awhile (like my sample did!). Because of its quick absoprtion, you should be able to use foundation soon after application.
Does my face look brighter, or my complexion noticeably healthier? Not really.. then again, I’ve been slathering, scrubbing and lathering up all sorts of goop on my face lately, so if there is a difference, I can’t say it’s solely because of this day cream. I think this would be great for someone with drier, sensitive skin – the gentle ingredients shouldn’t cause irritation, and the cream’s thick texture and extra moisturizing benefits would feel great on dry skin. I have a normal/combination skin type and tend to breakout during stress, so this felt a little too rich for me most of the time.
It has chamomile to calm and soothe your skin, and carrot extract fortifies. Its potent antioxidant blend features organic acai, pomegranate and red raspberry to help protect your skin from environmental damage and free radicals. Also has 1% Chlorella Growth Factor to stimulate cell growth.
Acure Organics Chamomile + Carrot Day Cream does its job well, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. My skin stays smooth and soft all day, and even during a slightly drier atmosphere here, my skin keeps its suppleness. I like my day moisturizers to do double-duty and include SPF, and its extra richness is mostly unnecessary for my skin type, so those two factors subtracted a star. Regardless, Acure Organics makes some really great, affordable products – definitely a line worth checking out!
