Cyberlady's Beauty Blog: No 7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream

This is the Day Cream from this new Beautiful Skin range from Boots No 7. It comes in 3 skin types .... Normal/Dry, Normal/Oily and Dry/Very Dry. I have the Dry/Very Dry version which Boots have sent me to check out.

Straight away you know this is meant to really deeply moisturise very dry skin, it has a rich texture that once worked into the skin is well absorbed and leaves the skin feeling really comfortable, not sticky, and protected for a long time. It contains an SPF15 and 5* UVA Technology. I have it on as I type this and it leaves no surface residue and no stickiness, just a feeling of plump, moisturised skin.

This is the time of year when if you have dry skin normally its even drier so lots of us reach for our most potent moisturisers and often if they were the ones that did the job in the summer, they cant quite cope with the demands of winter skin.  The cold air and winds dry us out and we need protection if we are not to feel parched and maybe even sore at times. This cream delivers a big surge of moisture and is reassuring in its texture, you get the feeling it means business and that the moisturising effects will last and they do.  To have a built in SPF15 is smashing, this really is the way forward for us to be able to rely on our day creams for UVA protection because even on the coldest winter day the sun still affects our skin in a negative way. You can put this on in the morning and even if you go out without any other products on your face you have the reassurance that at least youre safer from the UVA rays.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this product. I admit my first thought was .... oh just another day cream, yawn! No, it isnt, its better than most I have tried over the years and Boots really seem to be making strides forward with new technology in their products. I feel Boots can be replied upon now to provide us with excellent quality mid priced skincare. I have to say also I think the packaging is lovely, its modern, effective and suits the product. Its a big 50ml stable jar which will last and at £12.50 can compete well with high end products.
